Reinhold Glière’s Duet No. 10
Two voices. One heartbeat. Reinhold Glière’s Duet No. 10 is a beautiful musical dialogue in which the melody flows effortlessly from one violin to the other, allowing two independent voices to unfold a single musical story. It was a joy to share this performance with featured violinist Taisia Losmakova during our interdisciplinary concert Voices of Memory in New York, where music was presented alongside the beautiful paintings of Georgian artist Lizi Budalashvili. John Williams - Across the Stars
Across the Stars – John Williams Performed by Sendi Vartanovi (violin) and Ani Gigauri (piano) A melody born from a galaxy far away, Across the Stars is more than a love theme — it is a whispered tale of longing, fate, and the quiet ache of hearts that reach for one another across impossible distance. John Williams composed this hauntingly beautiful piece for Star Wars: Episode II, capturing the fragile, forbidden bond between Anakin and Padmé. Yet the music speaks a language deeper than story — one of devotion suspended in time, of love shimmering on the edge of hope and sorrow. In this arrangement for violin and piano, the melody breathes anew. The violin becomes a voice—fragile, yearning, radiant—while the piano lays a silken path of harmony beneath. Together, they unfold the story without words, inviting the listener into a dream of love that defies stars and shadows alike.
