Sendi Vartanovi — Violinist, Visionary, Storyteller.

Praised by the Hersfelder Zeitung for her “precision and passion” and a tone that “makes emotions soar like swallows into the sky,” Georgian-born, Armenian-descended violinist Sendi Vartanovi captivates audiences worldwide with her rare fusion of virtuosity, warmth, and poetic depth. More than a performer, she is a musical storyteller—inviting listeners to experience life itself through sound.
A laureate of elite international competitions, Ms. Vartanovi has received First Prizes from
the VII Georgian National Competition of Musician-Performers,
the American Protégé International Music Competition, MEDICI International Competition,
the Beverly Hills National Audition, where she made her debut at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, California (2025).
Her performances have illuminated major venues including Carnegie Hall, Opera America’s Scorca Hall, and the Kimmel Center, captivating audiences with artistry described as both electrifying and profoundly human.
She has performed under world-renowned conductors such as Gianandrea Noseda, Lahav Shani, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Matthias Foremny, and Claudio Vandelli, and has shared the stage with luminaries including Yuja Wang, Mischa Maisky, Joshua Bell, Lisa Batiashvili, Khatia Buniatishvili, and Denis Kozhukhin.
Currently based in the United States, Ms. Vartanovi serves as Associate Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. She is also a former First Section Violinist with Symphony in C and the New Jersey Capital Philharmonic. She previously held leadership roles with internationally acclaimed ensembles including the Tsinandali Festival Orchestra, Georgian Sinfonietta, and the Jansugh Kakhidze Symphony Orchestra, where she also appeared as a featured soloist.
As co-founder of the award-winning VART Duo, she has led the ensemble to national recognition for its refinement, expressivity, and powerful storytelling through music.
Her artistry and vision extend beyond performance. Sendi Vartanovi is the creator and artistic director of the immersive concert series “Light and Bloom”—a project where music, light, and art unite to awaken the senses. Built on the philosophy that music is not only heard but experienced, Light represents inspiration and clarity, while Bloomsymbolizes renewal and the unfolding of beauty within each listener. Together, they embody the transformative power of art—to illuminate, to heal, and to let life resound.
A dedicated advocate for both classical heritage and contemporary innovation, Ms. Vartanovi has premiered works by Billy Childs, Ajibola Rivers, Irakli Tsintsadze, Tengiz Nozadze, and Nodar Kemularia, and continues to champion music that bridges cultures and centuries.
Her musical education began in Georgia and continued across Europe on full scholarships to leading conservatories, including invitations from the Sibelius Academy (Finland), Royal Academy of Music (Denmark), and Academy of Music (Norway). She later moved to the United States to study under the legendary violinist and conductor Dr. Eduard Schmieder at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance, whom Lord Yehudi Menuhin described as “one of the outstanding teachers and exceptional violinists of our time.”
Alongside her international career, Sendi Vartanovi serves on the faculties of the Nelly Berman School of Music and The Philadelphia School, where she teaches violin, viola, chamber music, and ensemble performance—nurturing the next generation of young artists with the same depth and empathy that define her own playing.

My Mission
As a violinist, my mission is to create music that breathes—music that speaks directly to the human heart. I perform not just to showcase sound, but to make life felt: its beauty, vulnerability, depth, and light. Whether on a concert stage or in a candlelit room, I aim to offer listeners a space where time slows, emotion rises, and something within quietly awakens.
I am committed to sharing meaningful performances that transcend boundaries—musical, cultural, or emotional—and to opening classical music to those who may not think it was meant for them. I seek to champion underrepresented voices, reimagine tradition, and create spaces where sound becomes sanctuary.
Vision
I envision a musical world that is immersive, intimate, and inclusive. A world where artistry is not just heard but experienced—where people leave concerts feeling seen, recharged, and transformed. Through my performances and my teaching, I strive to create atmospheres that nourish the spirit and invite the audience into a dialogue with beauty.
To “let life resound”—Sona, vita—is not only my artistic motto. It is the lens through which I shape sound, share emotion, and connect deeply with those who listen.
